How much does wash and fold cost at Model Cleaners?
Wash, Dry & Fold is $49 per 20-gallon bag at all Model Cleaners locations. The flat rate includes washing, drying, and professional folding. Additional Model laundry bags are $7.50 each. There is no added cost for pickup and delivery on Wash, Dry & Fold orders for Elite Pickup and Delivery Club members.
How big is the wash and fold bag?
The Model laundry bag is 20 gallons. That holds roughly 18 to 20 pounds of laundry, which is typically a week of clothes for one or two people. Pack it tight, but make sure the drawstring closes. If you have more laundry than fits in one bag, additional bags are available for $7.50 each.
How does laundry pickup and delivery work?
Sign up for the Elite Pickup and Delivery Club. The evening before your scheduled service day, you will receive a text reminder. Reply with a Y, fill your laundry bag, and leave it outside your door. We pick it up, wash it at our facility, and deliver it back to your door cleaned and folded. There is no added cost for pickup and delivery.
How long does wash and fold take?
Most Wash, Dry & Fold orders are completed within 2 to 3 business days. Pickup and delivery customers typically receive their cleaned laundry back on the next scheduled service day in their route. Drop-off customers can usually pick up their order within 2 days at the same location where they dropped it off.
What can I put in a wash and fold bag?
Standard machine-washable items belong in the bag: t-shirts, jeans, casual pants, shorts, pajamas, sweatshirts, sweatpants, towels, washcloths, sheets, pillowcases, socks, underwear, workout clothes, and children's clothing. Anything you would normally wash at home in warm or cold water belongs in the bag.
What should NOT go in a wash and fold bag?
Dry-clean-only garments, suits, dress shirts that need pressing, formal wear, wedding dresses, wool sweaters that are not machine-washable, silk, lace, beaded items, leather, suede, fur, down comforters, pillows, and rugs should not go in the Wash, Dry & Fold bag. We clean all of these items, just as separate services with appropriate pricing.
Is wash and fold cheaper than doing laundry myself?
It depends on what you value. The $49 flat rate covers detergent, water, electricity, machine wear, and the four to six hours per week most people spend on laundry. Most customers find the time savings alone is worth it, especially for families or working professionals who would rather spend their time elsewhere.
Do you separate colors and whites?
Yes. Every customer's laundry is washed separately from other customers' laundry, and we sort within each order to protect colors and prevent bleeding. Our team is trained on fabric care and will handle items the way you would at home, just with commercial-grade equipment.
How do you return my folded laundry?
Cleaned and folded laundry is returned in your original Model laundry bag. Pickup and delivery customers receive their order back at their door on the next scheduled service day. Drop-off customers pick up at the same location, with the bag ready to grab and go. Folded items stay neatly stacked so you can put them away quickly.
Can I drop off wash and fold at any Model Cleaners location?
Yes. All 10 Model Cleaners locations across Western Pennsylvania and Morgantown, WV accept Wash, Dry & Fold drop-offs during business hours. Pricing is the same at every location. You can find your nearest store, hours, and contact information on our locations page.
Can I add wash and fold to a dry cleaning order?
Yes. Many of our customers combine Wash, Dry & Fold with dry cleaning, alterations, or rug cleaning in a single order. Drop everything off at once or schedule one pickup, and we will sort and process each item correctly. This is the biggest convenience of using Model for all your garment care.
Are commercial machines really better than home washers?
Yes. Commercial-grade washers reach higher water temperatures than most home machines, which helps disinfect fabrics and remove deep-set odors and bacteria. They also have larger capacity, more powerful agitation, and faster spin cycles, so clothes come out cleaner with less moisture, drying faster and more thoroughly.
